Why are WEEE doing this?

The environment is important to us all and the future of the planet, it is the responsibility of individuals and businesses alike to take recycling seriously. The WEEE directive as explained further below on this page promotes safe recycling and reuse of electrical equipment.
Refurbished IT hardware is mostly warranted, cleaned and tested before despatch, ensuring that you get excellent products at great value.
Unlike some resellers, we take our responsibility as a reseller seriously, we are selling new hardware every day, and this initiative enables Trust to offer to ethicaly dispose, recycle or reuse unwanted IT hardware.
Selling unwanted IT hardware to Trust means that you no longer have the worry of disposing with unwanted or redundant IT equipment. If it has some value we can also credit your account which means that you have more cash to spend on new items!
Trade in is also an option! If you are looking to buy new equipment and it will either free up redundant hardware, or you already have some redundant IT equipment then we may be able to give you a trade in against new.

What is WEEE?

The Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment Directive (WEEE Directive) came into force in January 2007. The WEE Directive aims to both reduce the amount of electrical and electronic equipment being produced and to encourage everyone to reuse, recycle and recover it. The WEEE Directive also aims to improve the environmental performance of businesses that manufacture, supply, use, recycle and recover electrical and electronic equipment. If you are an importer, rebrander or manufacturer of new electrical or electronic equipment then it's likely that you'll need to comply with the UK's WEEE Regulations, which in part implement the WEEE Directive. If you do need to comply, then you must register on a producer compliance scheme. You may also have obligations under the WEEE Regulations if you are a business with electrical or electronic equipment to dispose of, or if you sell electrical or electronic equipment. Our role is to provide information and advice on complying with the WEEE Regulations to producers of Electrical or Electronic Equipment (EEE) and the waste management industry.
